Youth Ministry

The success of a parish youth ministry is no longer simply having a youth group, no matter how large it is. Youth ministry is defined by its presence in a parish through more than just young people gathering on their own. A strong parish has a strong presence from youth across all areas of parish life, where youth are active members from set up to leadership. Youth Ministry at Saint Mary Parish collaborates with the three other Evanston parishes through United Catholic Youth Ministries.

Through the four pillars of Youth Ministry — Faith Formation, Prayer & Worship, Service & Mission, Youth Community Development — UCYM offers many events, programs and services for youth in 6th – 12th grades.
