From Father Kevin McCray, Pastor

Due to the shelter-in-place order issued by Governor Pritzker and based on current guidelines from the CDC, local health departments, and directives from the Archdiocese of Chicago:

  • The suspension of all public masses continues until further notice. We have received notice from the Archdiocese that there will be no public celebrations of Holy Week/Easter Sunday.
  • The church will be closed until further notice.
  • Pope John XXIII School remains closed. Students are continuing their studies at home through “e-Learning” with continued online interaction between the families and school.
  • Our Parish Religious Education Classes are suspended until the end of the class year. Ms. Ferrell will be in touch with the families to provide resources to parents so their children can continue their studies at home.
  • All meetings and events scheduled to occur on parish grounds are suspended since Sunday, March 15, until further notice.
  • The Parish Center and the school and religious education offices are closed until further notice.

In this Lenten Season, and this time of anxiety and uncertainty, I ask that we continue to pray for each other, and to unite our prayers with the Universal Church.

May God bless you as we walk this journey together.
